Terra Foundation Fellow at the American Academy of Rome

This week marks the beginning of an incredible five month residency at the American Academy of Rome. I’m here as the Terra Foundation Fellow, and I’ll be researching the journeys and experiences of two incredible men: the artist Robert S Duncanson and the writer David F Dorr, both of whom traveled to Rome in the 1850s and described their journeys in word and image.
