Exhibitions
The first exhibition I curated in 2010, addressed the complicated paradigms of meaning that have been mapped onto representations of African American bodies throughout history. It was on view at the David C. Driskell Center for the Study of the Visual Arts and Culture of African Americans and the African Diaspora and at the Yale University Art Gallery
Barkley L. Hendricks, Untitled (1982)
In 2015 I co-curated an exhibition of photographs by the artist Barkley L Hendricks, entitled Oh Snap!, for Philadelphia Art Sanctuary. A few years later, I was asked to write the feature essay for the publication Barkley L. Hendricks: Photography - the first book to bring together the artist’s photographs in a single publication.
